For over a quarter of a century, the Juno award winning, Vancouver, BC based band, The Paperboys have been traveling the world and lighting up stages with their freewheeling blend of influences – Celtic folk, Bluegrass, Mexican, Eastern European, African, zydeco, soul and country. Or, as bandleader Tom Landa describes the music, “Guinness with a tequila chaser while listening to an Americana Jukebox.” Although they have released 13 award-winning albums to date, they are through and through a live act. They shine most on stage. The Paperboys have headlined some of the most popular and prestigious clubs and festivals throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe, where they travel frequently for long musical tours. The band’s live performances are high energy, accessible, and, as one critic noted, “generate a cult-like following.” “Once heard, you will cross mountains, valleys, floods and tempests to see this band wherever they play. Be ready to travel, even if they play the ends of the earth, it will be worth the journey!” (David Shipley – CD Baby)
