The Blue Sky Iguanas is the latest project of Port Townsend singer/songwriter Dan Maguire. A relatively new band, The Iguanas have been building quite the following in their home base located on Washington’s remote Olympic Peninsula. Known for their original songs and buoyant brand of acoustic Americana, they have quickly developed into a very special ensemble thanks to their unique but catchy songwriting, hallmark musicianship and their exciting excursions into so many diverse musical genres. Along with Dan, The Blue Sky Iguanas includes multi-instrumentalist (fiddle, mandolin and dobro) Pete Evasick, John Koschnick on bass and Declan Westcott on percussion. Many of you may know that Dan, along with his lovely wife Colleen, is the founder and promoter of the Banderas Bay Music Festival. In its seventh year, it seems appropriate and timely for Dan and The Blue Sky Iguanas to finally make their debut at this fantastic festival. Viva la Musica!!
